WE BELIEVE THAT NOBODY SHOULD BE DISCRIMINATED AGAINST

Accept, Listen, Learn was founded by Alison Wright. Alison works hard to encourage people to accept others, no matter their ability. Alison was born with short arms after her mother was prescribed Thalidomide by her doctor. This is a drug that was given to expectant mothers to ease their morning sickness, but caused serious complications - such as disabilities - in hundreds of births in the UK, and thousands around the world. Alison has found ways to adapt to her daily life and embrace her disabilities.

With over 15 years of experience, Alison has created workshops that aim to educate others on differences in an interactive and engaging way. Our workshops work with children to educate them and create a kinder and more accepting world for us all.

Accept

By exploring our own differences, who we are and who we choose to be, we can accept others.

Listen

By listening to how it feels to be and look different, we can gain a greater understanding of how to treat others respectfully.

Learn

By seeing what people can do with a disability, we are learning new ways of doing things.
